Friends Launch Appeal To Assist Seriously Ill Woman
Submitted by Jen Penna and Andra Bruse
Dear Community of Moose Jaw:
Jasmine Cameron (Jackman) is once again in the fight for her life.
After battling breast cancer last year, she has now received the devastating news that it has spread to her lungs.
The first step of her treatment was to undergo a lung wedge dissection surgery to remove the mass along with a piece of her lung.
She will now move on to the next treatment path which will include chemo, immunotherapy and radiation.
Jasmine will also be travelling to the States to meet and discuss a plan of action that will include clinical trials and other options to help her put this beast into remission.
Unfortunately, her diagnosis is incurable.
She will fight to the end to keep living for her children Krosby and Maquire and her husband Steve as well as all her friends and family.
Jasmine is and has been an exemplary pillar of our community for over 20 years.
She has selflessly given thousands of hours to make Moose Jaw a better place for all citizens.
From being on numerous boards such as the Chamber of Commerce, school community committees, coaching local sports teams, Big Brother and Sisters, Special Olympics coach and committee member, organizer and savior of sidewalk days in 2010 and 2011.
She also organized a community breast cancer educational and support seminar for women going through treatments.
There are so many more examples of her generosity towards the community, too many to list.
A fundraiser for Jasmine is being put on Sep 6/24 at the Crushed Can in Moose Jaw.
We humbly ask for donations for raffle items and/ or monetary donations to help with her treatment and expenses throughout this difficult time.
Moose Jaw is known for coming together in times of need and this is one of those times.
Monetary donations may be made immediately and 100% of those proceeds will go directly to Jasmine to cover her ongoing expenses.
To make a monetary donation please etransfer to jazzysjourney2.0@hotmail.com.
Please contact Jen Penna (306-631-4531) or Andra Bruse (306-681-4313) to donate raffle items.
