New Scoreboard Major Attraction In Football Field Upgrades

The old analog score clock at Elks Field - part of the Kinsmen Sports Complex - had seen better days.

Bulbs, like parts, were failing and hard to find. The search was literally crossed borders with used bulbs found in a Las Vegas sign boneyard.

But they were expensive and not enough to sustain Elks Field’s formerly reliable workhorse so a funding agreement between Minor Football, the Kinsmen and the City saw a brand new LED replacement.

“That scoreboard is the centrepiece of this field. I couldn’t be anymore proud of it. You know I designed that thing and I love it. It’s bold. It’s beautiful. And everyone sees it. Honestly that is the centrepiece of your field. I finally feel we have the scoreboard we truly deserved,” Boys said.
