School Zone Speed Limits Now 30 Km/Hr
FRIENDLY REMINDER - Starting at 7 am on Tuesday morning (September 3rd) new school zone speeds are reduced from 40 km/hr to 30 km/hr between the hours of 7 am until 7 pm seven days a week.
The Moose Jaw Police Service had granted a grace educational period in July and August to educate the public - but now rumour has it will be out with nice new shiny ticket books enforcing the reduced school zone speed limit.
The cost of the new signage was approximately $200,000 with parks and playgrounds slated to drop from 40 km/hr to 30 km/hr in the summer of 2025.
Pictured is the sign on 9th Avenue NW where the school zone starts heading south down the hill - one of the school zones numerous motorists have raised concerns about due to it being downhill.
