MJPS Invites Public To Annual Awards on Wednesday Aftermoon

The Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS) has issued a community invitation to their annual awards ceremony.

The ceremony will start at 1:30 pm on May 29th at the Performing Arts Theatre which is adjacent to the Moose Jaw Public Library.

The awards recognize individuals in the community and the MJPS who have helped make Moose Jaw a better place.

In addition to the awards the MJPS will recognize promotions and retirements within the Police Service.

A special award will go to past members of the Moose Jaw Board of Police Commissioners.

The awards to be presented are:

Chief’s Commendation – presented to police service personnel or community members whose exceptional actions resolved a critical situation.

Innovation - presented to police service personnel and community members who have introduced innovative and effective practices to the Service.

Community Building – presented to police service or community members who made significant contributions to improving the quality of life in the community

Teamwork – presented to police service or community members whose efforts as a team were effective in resolving a major case or increasing community safety.
