We would be interested to know how many low income seniors tax arrears are causing them to lose their homes?

We submitted a series of questions to the City of Moose Jaw in order to get an answer to this readers’s concerns.

Question Two - Does the City track ages of taxpayers? If not can you tell me why not?

Question Three - How many people lose their homes each year either by being unable to afford property taxes or just not being financially able to pay them?

Question Four - If a person falls behind in their property taxes what can they do to fix this?

Response - In regard to your question if someone falls behind on taxes, the City offers the TIPPS program which allows residents to make monthly payments on their property taxes instead of one lump sum: TIPPS | City of Moose Jaw
